Webinar Abstract
Title: Real Time Radiography for the Non-Destructive Testing of Pipeline Girth-welds Date: Thursday, 31st May 2012 Time: 14:15 GMT+1 The safety and quality standards within the oil/gas industry is ever increasing to adhere to the modern government regulations that focus on the environment and the workplace. Safety becomes a great challenge when using radiography for non destructive testing. The use of a radiation source is dangerous to personnel and hazardous to the environment. Standard film is not always able to achieve the quality required for industry standard specifications and it is difficult to manage and store. What you can expect to learn:
Register to attend this session Applus RTD has introduced RTD RAYSCAN, a real time radiography system that has improved the process for non destructive testing with the use of radiography to meet an ever increasing standard within the industry. About RTD RayScan:
Steven has over 10 years of experience with electronics and implementing new technologies into the industry. This includes his time in the military and different sectors of the oil/gas industry. He has been devoted to working on Rayscan since it wasfirst introduced to the industy in 2010. Additional Speakers:
Dr. Ir. Casper Wassink Casper Wassink is responsible for creating the long term technology vision at Applus RTD. He worked at the company in positions like manager of the R&D department and Business Development Manager. He has been involved with the Rayscan product since the earliest prototype ideas. Casper received his PhD on the subject of Innovation in NDT and has a MSc in Physics. Mireille Boot, MSc Mireille obtained a Master of Science in Applied Physics with a focus on radiography. During her study she has gained experience with NDT in the medical field. Sinds 2010 Mireille is working as a radiography engineer at Applus RTD technological Center, where she is resposible for digital radiography developments.
